My Special Belonging

If my family and I are leaving home because we are all in great danger and I can only choose one thing to bring with me. It would definitely be my computer, because I had saved everything in it, including all the photos. So if there is something happened, I can still look at the photos that were saved in my computer or try to contact my family through internet. If this really happened to me. I would miss everything in my home, but the most is my bed. It is so conformable, it is something that I spent most of my time with. The other things that I would miss are probably my desk, books, clothes and all my personal belongings. Other than items, I would also miss all the memories and everything that happened in this house. So I hope that this thing would never happens to me or all of us.

Folk Songs about Revolution

The song I chose was "The Liberty Song." 
This song is about American revolution. The lyrics are about telling people to fight for their freedom. It is saying that all men should born free and live free. The song is basically to urge people to stand for their freedom.

Duty or Friendship?

Which one is worse: betraying one's duty or betraying one's friendship? 
I think betraying one's friendship is worse than betraying one's duty. One's duty is more like a personally thing or issue. If one betray it, it is only him that need to face the consequences. If  one betray his friendship, not only him, but his friend will be depress and sad. He does not only create problems for himself but also his friends and people around him. It is easier to make up what you need to do, like try harder next time or make it up by doing something else. But once you betray your friend, it is very hard to be friends again. There is a quote "Friendship is delicate as a glass, once broken it can be fixed but there will always be cracks" which basically means that it is impossible to be the kind of friends before once one had betray the other.

Under Pressure

Some people need pressure and stress in order to improve or perform well. The best why to improve is to compete, so that people can see where is the weakness park, and work harder on it. Before I came to International school, I had been learning English since grade one, but my English still sucks. I had tutor every week, but I my English level stayed the same for four years, because I don't know why I need to learn English and I have know pressure. Until I came to  HIS, I realized how bad my English was, and I started to work hard. Because of pressure and stress, my English started to improve. One other reason was that I don't want to be left out. I want to be the same as others, so that was why I worked hard. This is basically why people perform well when facing heart-pounding fear. 

Vengeance

Many movies and books are about revenge. "Murder on the Orient Express," is a famous mystery book by Agatha Christie, which is also about revenge. The story was about a man got stabbed twelve times and bleed to death. The ending was very surprising. The man was actually got stabbed by twelve people, because they wanted to revenge. The man was a cold blood murderer. He once kidnapped a girl to exchange for money. But after he got the money, he still kills the little girl. Which also embroil many other people, like the nanny, who killed herself because of guiltiness; the mate who also died because she got suspected by the police. Because of this tragedy, all the victims friends and family gathered up and planned this murder. The main reason of why people want to revenge is because they want the other people to feel the same pain too. 

The Grass Is Always greener On The Other Side

"The grass is always greener on the other side," this is an expression which basically means that people tend to look at others' lives and think that others' are better, until they actually feel the negative things. I think this is true, at least for me. When I was young I used to be jealous at my sister all the time, and thinking that it is unfair why this is this, that is that. My parents tried to treat us equally, but there were somethings that just can't be equal. For example, I remembered that when I was about five years old, my grandmother gave me a penguin doll and my sister a teddy bear. When I looked at my sister's teddy bear, I was jealous, because I wanted the teddy bear too. I started to complain that It was not fair why i got a penguin, but she go a teddy bear. 
Even though I know that I would still complain if I got the teddy bear instead of the penguin, because I always think the my sister's things are better than mine. This is how people look at others lives, other people's lives are always better than ours.

Hopes and Wishes

We all have hopes, wishes and dreams. But not every hopes and wishes come true. We have to accept a loss and a disappointment. There are many different kinds of hopes in our daily lives, big ones and small ones. Some are very simple, for example, do well on a test, complete all homework before ten o'clock and many other daily things. But there are hopes that are difficult to  come true too, for instance be a CEO and go onto the moon.

I have many hopes and dreams too. One of my hopes is that I can get into good college in the United States. One wish that everyone would make is to be healthy, I have that wish too. I hope that my parents, family and all my friends can be healthy and happy everyday. Even if I know that this dream would not come true, but I still keep it inside. There are other wishes I made, but many of them didn't come true. For example, one time, I hope that I can do well on History test. When the result came out, I was so disappointed. I didn't do well on the test. I know that the way to make it up is to do well next time. This is the way that a accept a loss

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
For some people, this is true. When there is a challenge, they work even harder to get their goals. One of the reasons why I think they are so tough is because that they set their targets too high, and they can't stand for losing. They have to achieve their goals no matter how, even if that makes them so tough and strong. One other reason for them to be so tough is that when they face a challenge, they know what and where they needed to be improved on. The failure becomes a force which pushes them to move forward. These are some reasons that I think why the tough get going. 

Friendship

Best friend is the person that you would always trust no matter what happened. Friends bring each other happiness. Spending time with friends, is what most people would do daily. Friends share secrets with each other, and give each other commands about it. When people are little, everyone can be friends, everyone plays together, there is no lines between you and me, boys and girls. Once people get older, they started to separate into small groups. There is always one person that understands you the most, and he/she is always the first one you would want to talk to when you need someone to talk to. For me, I think some of the qualities a good friend must have are that can feel what my feelings, have same hobbies and interests and will stand by my side all the time. 

The Most Dangerous Game

The story begins with the main character, Rainsford talking to his friend Whitney on a yacht. Whitney tells Rainsford about this dangerous island, which foreshadows that somethings bad is going to happen. Suddenly there was a gun shot. Rainsford wanted to check where the sound came from, but he accidentally fall off the ship and swam to the island.
On the island, he met General Zaroff and his follower Ivan. He chatted with General Zaroff about hunting, and he realized that General Zaroff hunt human beings. Rainsford wanted to leave, but General Zaroff forced Rainsford to play the game with him. General Zaroff gave Rainsford three days, if General Zaroff finds him within the three days, General Zaroff wins. If General Zaroff didn't find him, than Rainsford wins the game and he can leave the island. The first day, Rainsford tried hide and with out leaving any trace, but General Zaroff did found him. But General Zaroff wanted to play game with him, so he smiled and leave. On the second day, Rainsford used a branch to attach General Zaroff. On the third day, Rainsford killed Ivan and one of the best dogs. After killing them, he jumped into the sea, which made General Zaroff thought that Rainsford was dead. But he came back and hid in General Zaroff's bedroom,

In every story or movie, there is a villain in it, who is considered as the evil character. The villain tents to bring the negative things to the story. Also creates conflicts with the main character or the other characters. Even though the villain sounds bad, but it is actually very important to the story. Because of the villain, who creates conflicts with the main character, which makes the story to move on.

For example, a Voldemort is the villain in the movie Harry Potter.

Voldemort is the main antagonist in the movie. He is an evil and crazy person, that people can't call him by his name, because he is the lord. He has a lot of power. His fallowers admire him, but at the same time they are afraid of him.
